The Scenario

Actech Recruitment is a Cheshire-based business providing technology and digital recruitment services.

The business was set up during COVID and had no previous experience of working with an accountant or advisor.

They clearly wanted more than a compliance-only accountancy service and we were happy to help!

 

How We Helped

The first task was to get the business onto a fully digital accounting platform.

Using Xero & Dext, we completely removed paperwork from the day-to-day, made sure all accounting records were digitally recorded, creating an efficient and stress-free accounting system.

We then worked with Anna to create business forecasts and targets for the first 12 months.

These targets were monitored against quarterly performance reports to keep the business on track during its early stages.

The forecasts were carefully tailored to what Anna ultimately wanted from her business, both personally and professionally.

We also used the quarterly reviews to generate tax estimates, to remove future surprises and manage cashflow more effectively.

Before the end of the first financial year, we were able to review the business’ profitability and effectively plan so that future asset purchases were accelerated, saving tax earlier, enabling the business to continue to grow.
